Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for leading and managing the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program including cybersecurity governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and policy management initiatives. Serving as the Tribe’s GRC subject matter expert, this individual leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Tribe’s security governance, compliance, and risk management programs. The role ensures that IT systems and data remain secure, policies are effectively enforced, and the organization adheres to all applicable internal and external security and regulatory standards. Additionally, the position proactively identifies, evaluates, and mitigates information security risks. The incumbent provides enterprise-wide leadership and coordination across departments to develop and maintain security policies, conduct third-party and internal risk assessments, ensure audit readiness, and deliver metrics-based reporting to leadership. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in information security, governance, risk management, compliance, auditing, or cybersecurity operations, with at least three (3) years leading GRC, compliance, audit, or enterprise risk management initiatives is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Governance, Risk, and Compliance Professional (GRCP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent are strongly preferred. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, threat analysis, and vulnerability management. Proficiency with audit and risk management tools or GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow, OneTrust) is required. Working knowledge of common compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CJIS, PCI-DS, GDPR, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, etc). Possession of a valid FL Driver’s License is required. Must be able to pass a background check. Demonstrate Excellent English written and oral communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
