Job Description

The incumbent in this position exercises coordination leadership and advanced administrative expertise in facilitating the activities related to the Special Events approval process for events held on Seminole Tribe of Florida lands. The individual oversees the end-to-end workflow for Special Event submissions, ensuring all departmental reviews—such as Agriculture, Real Estate, Risk Management, Health & Human Services, Police, Fire Rescue, Emergency Management, and others—are completed accurately and in accordance with Tribal requirements. The incumbent is responsible for verifying insurance compliance, compiling event documentation, and preparing final approval packages for review by the Council Member of the reservation where the event will occur. Additionally, the individual in this role provides administrative support to the Director of Risk Management, including processing invoice payments, maintaining departmental records, and assisting with project coordination. The incumbent in this position establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Tribal departments, event organizers, community members, and Council offices to ensure timely and compliant event approvals. Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of government experience or related field is required. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Knowledge and understanding of homeowner’s, property, and flood insurance policies, including coverage types and claims processes. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, Power Point and outlook). Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to all Reservations and be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
