Job Description
This position is under the Seminole Tribe of Florida (STOF) Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO) and is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and documenting cultural, historical, and archaeological sites. The incumbent works closely with the Cultural Advisors to discuss and interpret the cultural relevance of certain areas, ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures. High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Must be a member or descendant of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License (or have the ability to obtain one prior to hire) and be able to operate Tribal vehicles, which include 4-wheel drive trucks and all-terrain vehicles, is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent must be able to travel to any location, including all reservations and off reservation sites, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
