Job Description

The Executive Director of Administration provides strategic leadership and oversight for all direct Tribal Member services and operations for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, encompassing Education, Recreation, Youth, and Cultural Affairs. This role is accountable for planning, organizing, and directing departmental and office functions to ensure cohesive, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. The incumbent executes both short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures, ensuring full compliance with applicable federal and state regulations. The individual assesses departmental and programmatic needs in alignment with Tribal community priorities and directs the fiscal, material, and human resources necessary to meet those service demands. This role also cultivates and maintains strong communication, collaboration, and engagement across the broader Tribal community to support effective governance and service excellence. Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Leadership or related field is required. A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible leadership experience overseeing multi-disciplinary administrative, community service, or governmental operations is required. Demonstrated experience managing large, complex departments, including strategic planning, budget development, workforce management, and policy oversight. Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations applicable to the Education, Recreation, Youth and Elder Services, Cultural affairs and/or other community service is highly desirable. Knowledge and/or experience working with Native American culture is highly desirable. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s license is required. Strong executive-level decision-making skills, with the ability to balance strategic objectives with day-to-day operational needs. Demonstrated success in resource planning, including oversight of fiscal, material, and human resources at scale. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel extensively and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
