Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the operations and functions necessary for the election of official representatives of the Seminole Tribe of Florida, in accordance with the Amended Constitution & Bylaws, the Election Ordinance, and established policies and procedures. This includes overseeing the voter registration process, voter eligibility, and the maintenance of voting lists, as well as coordinating all activities related to ballots, absentee ballots, and canvassing election returns. The incumbent also assists in supervising and coordinating administrative activities related to voter identification, demographic updates, and community engagement events. In addition to election-related duties, the incumbent ensures the maintenance, safeguard, and daily updating of Tribal Member files, manages the delivery, setup, and retrieval of voting equipment, and supervises the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided. Additionally, the incumbent serves as a secondary point of contact for matters related to the Tribal Funeral Policy and assists with the Seminole Princess Program. The role requires exercising extensive independent judgment and professional managerial knowledge, serving as a liaison between the Tribal Council and the Election Board, and disseminating voter information to keep Tribal Members informed. Associate’s degree and a minimum of four (4) years of managerial or administrative experience to include election strategic planning, execution and evaluation, voter registration, logistics and technology assessment and planning or comparable elections experience in Indian Country are required. Incumbent must be able to work independently or within diverse groups. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel frequently across all Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
