Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing guidance and support to the Transactional Accounting Department by overseeing key operational functions, with primary focus on credit card processing including Corporate Credit Card, P-Card, Instant-Card, and Travel Card programs. The role leads 1099 and General Welfare Exclusion reporting activities and provides indirect supervisory oversight of expense processes system to ensure compliance and timely resolution of escalated issues. This individual also assists the Transactional Accounting Management team with the daily oversight of a group of staff ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial processing. The person serves as the primary point of contact for card funding oversight, documentation compliance, reportable benefits to Tribal Members, as well as Accounting system’s queue management. This position also plays a key role in process improvements and supports the department’s transition to new financial systems. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in accounts payable or transactional accounting is required. Prior experience administering credit card or P-card programs or in a supervisory capacity is highly desired. Familiarity with financial systems (Oracle, Lawson, Perceptive, or similar) is preferred. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software package including intermediate knowledge of MS Excel. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal and detail oriented skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to Seminole Reservations and to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet tight work deadlines.
