Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of transportation infrastructure projects – from planning and design through construction and close-out – for roadway systems across the Seminole Tribe of Florida reservations. This role applies advanced technical and project management expertise to successfully deliver complex roadway projects, with a strong emphasis on rural roadways, storm drainage, utility systems including water, sewer, fiber, and electric. The incumbent in this position oversees and coordinates the work of engineering consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that all projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with Tribal, BIA, FDOT, and other regulatory standards. The individual plays a critical leadership role in advancing the Tribe’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and supporting long-term infrastructure resilience and mobility. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similarly related field is required. A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in roadway engineering and construction management, with a strong focus on transportation infrastructure projects is required. Demonstrated experience with rural roadway design and construction, including storm drainage systems and utility coordination, as well as proven success managing the planning, design, and construction phases of roadway projects. Strong understanding of CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) practices. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License required. Ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
