Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the oversight of design and construction of various renovations and minor construction projects primarily associated with Plant Operations. The individual assists with monitoring and performing data input for design and construction schedules, cash flows, and all information related to the progress of design and construction project work performed by architectural firms, engineering firms, and contractors, ensuring compliance with STOF rules and regulations. The Individual in this position coordinates matters related to planning, scoping, documenting, and managing projects in accordance with program and departmental procedures. The incumbent ensures timely and satisfactory completion of assigned work according to schedule. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment in applying the principles and practices of planning, design, and construction, as well as the knowledge and administration of a variety of construction projects. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or closely related field is required. Technical and project management experience is preferred; alternatively, a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the management and execution of in-house or maintenance projects at plants. Experience in construction management and in the development of design and construction strategic initiatives – including site design development, procurement, bidding and negotiation processes, contract specification, negotiation, and execution – is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft office products, including word, excel, and PowerPoint. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
