Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of the Facilities Management, the incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting with overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive implementation of a facility management and grounds maintenance program for all Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Buildings and Grounds assets. The individual develops and implements a forward-thinking management strategy that maximizes efficiency and visibility, ensuring appropriate, timely, proactive and thorough responses to the needs of the Tribe. The incumbent generates and develops performance standards for all facilities and assets and, under guidance of the department director, leads a large staff with diverse skills and specialties. The incumbent oversees the administration and implementation of all vendor contracts agreements for building maintenance and repairs. The incumbent represents the Department in all related matters and works cooperatively and cohesively with other Tribal Departments to advance the Department’s mission and serve the Seminole Tribe of Florida with the highest degree of professionalism and customer service. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Planning, Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering or a related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in facility management, construction administration, project management, and/or property management, with a minimum of three (3) years in a management capacity is required. An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered. Must have demonstrated experience in the management of building systems and possess knowledge of advanced building engineering principles. Certification as a Facility Manager (CFM), Building Operator (BOC) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) Certification is preferred. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to all the Reservations or offsite locations. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages and databases. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Serves as a critical employee during hurricanes or other emergencies, requiring presence in the Tribal Emergency Operations Center.
