Job Description

The Healing to Wellness Program Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the mission of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Healing to Wellness Court. The Healing to Wellness Court integrates traditional Seminole values with culturally based treatment and judicial oversight to guide individuals toward recovery from substance dependence. The individual in this position is responsible for ensuring the effective daily operations of the program by overseeing referrals, conducting participant screenings, coordinating court processes, monitoring compliance, and fostering collaboration among internal departments and external service providers. The individual is responsible for coordinating the follow-up of Tribal court recommendations and orders; ensuring compliance with applicable Tribal, State, and Federal regulations that have been adopted by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The incumbent in this position serves as a liaison between program participants, their families, and the Tribal community. The individual provides support to the Healing to Wellness Program and Judge in administering culturally relevant services, ensuring participant accountability and promoting wellness, recovery, and long-term success. Bachelor’s degree in Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse Counseling, Social Work or any other human services related field is required. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders. Working knowledge of the legal system, case management, substance use disorders, and mental health systems is preferred. Previous experience working with Native Americans and the ability to deliver appropriate and culturally sensitive services. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and be able to travel to all Seminole Reservations and other facilities is required. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to work efficiently in a team environment. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
