Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Program Coordinator, the incumbent is primarily responsible for performing a wide range of manual and hands-on tasks in support of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Cooperative Extension 4-H Program. The work involves physical setup, maintenance, and construction of program facilities and activity areas such as constructing show rings, setting up animal containment structures, and building or demolishing program facilities as needed. The incumbent may be required to work directly with live animals and will assist with loading and unloading livestock for transport. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Prior experience in a laborer position, working in a ranch, stable or related type work is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficient computer skills working with Microsoft software programs. Must be able to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
